RoofTech have recently completed the replacement of a double skin asbestos-cement roof using Kingspan composite panels and new triple skin GRP rooflights in Harlow, Essex. We had previously undertaken another refurbishment for this client and they asked us back to refurbish this second building prior to relocating their business.
The existing structure included concrete purlins which meant that, in accordance with good roofing practice, we avoided fixing/drilling into the existing purlins and the associated risks of structural damage and unknown fastener performance. Therefore additional galvanised supports were strapped to the purlins prior to installing the composite panels.
