Brief Project Description:
Major refurbishment of 9600m2 of existing aluminium roof sheeting, across ten slopes of roof at 22 degrees pitch. The factory floor below produces fitted kitchens for the major house builders across the United Kingdom and remains operational.
New Roof Sheets 0.7mm thick, plastisol coated steel, installed to cavity support system, with 260mm thick insulation earth wool, providing a U value of 1.8 W/m2K.
At RoofTech, health & safety for the work force and clients alike, is paramount. On this project, a full system scaffold to the perimeter of the building, with access stairs to eaves level has been erected externally. Internally, personnel safety netting for protection against falls from height is installed. In addition to this, debris netting is laid in the safety netting, to prevent small items that maybe dislodged during roof works above, falling into the factory work force below.
